A Candy-less Valentines...Bummer!

So, I did it...I went and reproduced this Valentine that I've seen all over the blogisphere. I was so stoked - I got a cute picture of Luci, went out and bought the yucky Tootsie Pops (that remind me of cough syrup), and got them all ready to send to school. Then Friday, I got the letter that I had been dreading. I had hoped that they had forgotten to remind us, but I wasn't so lucky.

With all of the kid allergies these days, Luci's preschool has a strict no nuts, no candy policy for lunches. So as you can guess, the note told us that we were to observe the no candy policy for Valentines Day. Boo!

What am I to put in her hand on her crafty Valentines? Pencils? Straws? Chop sticks? It was made to fit a lollipop perfectly. If you ask me, some sugerless toys these days are more dangerous than a TootsiePop.

In the end, I think I've decided to photoshop in a thumbs-up...or better yet, maybe it should be a thumbs-down to protest the no-candy on Valentines Day policy.

Am I taking this too seriously? Maybe, but remember, I'm sleep a deprived mom of four littles. And you better believe that Luci will be eating chocolate with her mommy tomorrow at home! XOXOXOXOX

  1. Hudson can't bring candy either. I had bought a bag of heart shaped lollipops before I knew so it looks I will have to eat them myself. :)

  4. Hilarious! The allergy thing is out of control, I'm so over it. Although chopsticks kindof sounded amazing to me.
