and a little obsessed...For those of you who are my new BFFs, you'll know that I have a slight case of OCD and my latest addiction is bokeh. In case your wondering (or a little concerned), bokeh isn't dangerous to my health; bokeh is the aesthetic quality of blur, or the way a lens renders points of light that are out of focus.
My husband got me a new 35mm lens for Christmas (Yay!). To his disappointment, I've been playing with it every chance I get...not spending any time with him. I'm sure I'll eventually hang out with him...taking close ups of his hands holding things for me to photograph infront of the tree :). 
Thanks to some of my photo-blog friends, I figured out how to achieve shaped bokeh. Karli at The Bonnie 5 shared this tutorial here. And {shutter}mama shared this one here. You enablers!!!Try it out...but I'll warn you...it's a lot of fun and VERY addicting.

OK.. I think I may have to hate you a little bit right now... bwahahahahaha these are soooo cool, and I'm jealous.. but I WILL (maybe) read those tutorials, and definitely (who the hell am I kidding) try it out... ( I have no time, and this will just frustrate me..) bwahahahahhaa Thanks for sharing they really are cool...

Oooo, I love photography, and love just love to take pix. I would love to learn effects like those. I don't have a great camera though, only a nikon coolpix s60 it takes nice ones but not great ones. i have lots to learn too. i will check out those tutorials thankx.
