Kim's Cause Update

The past weekend started off spectacularly. My friends & I (aka Team Kim's Cause) put on a bake sale during St. Max's Pizza Night and made an astonishing $1800! Can you believe the generosity of the St. Max parishoners? I mean, there were only about 35 families there and we were able to raise that much money? I still can't believe how blessed we are!

My contribution is on the right. I made my famous rainbow cupcakes. I think that the kids liked them because they looked so sugary. We had so many goodies to choose from. Check out the cool frosting. I can't take the credit for that...I got a few bored teenagers to help me out. It was really cute, there were a bunch of them at Pizza Night working their Christian Service Hours for Confirmation and some just to contribute.

It made me remember what a snot I was at that age, hating to have to do my service hours. Now look at me, my whole life is one big christian service hour and I love it! Unfortunately, Kim couldn't make the bake sale. She's started a really tough round of chemo and can't take any chance that she might get sick. She's fighting this with everything she's got.
